A forest guard was killed after being hit by a stone during a stone‑sliding incident near the Gaadí Nalla area of Doda district.
Officials said that a forest guard namely Mohd Iqbal Zargar, son of Haji Ghulam Qadir Zargar, a resident of Mancher, Bhagwa, was killed after being hit by a stone slide near Gaadi Nallah.
They said that the incident happened while he was on duty in the area. He sustained critical injuries due to stone sliding and was immediately shifted to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, while further details are awaited.(GNS)
