Emphasising that real social change is driven by people rather than policies alone, social organisation 2030_ka_Bharat has announced the launch of the Golden Achiever Awards–2026, a unique initiative aimed at recognising individuals whose selfless efforts are creating meaningful change in society.
The awards ceremony, scheduled to be held in the New Year, will honour 21 individuals from various states of North India who have made notable contributions in areas aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative seeks to celebrate values of compassion, service and responsibility that are shaping the vision of India in the coming decade.
The awards will be presented across three major categories. The first category recognises jailers who have gone beyond routine prison administration to focus on inmate reform, education and rehabilitation, helping prisoners reintegrate into society with dignity and self-reliance.
The second category honours individuals who are not professional teachers but educate underprivileged children, often using public spaces and personal time to impart learning to those with limited access to formal education. The third category acknowledges change-makers leading campaigns against food wastage, treating surplus food as a means to address hunger and promote social responsibility.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr Atul Malikram, Founder of 2030_ka_Bharat, said that genuine transformation emerges from individuals who act with empathy and purpose. “This is not merely an awards programme, but a movement to highlight unsung heroes whose actions illuminate lives and inspire others to contribute to nation-building,” he said.
According to the organisers, the Golden Achiever Awards aim to underline the belief that prisons can become centres of reform, education is driven by compassion rather than degrees, and preventing food wastage is essential to building a humane and responsible society.
The ceremony is expected to showcase a vision of India 2030, where citizens actively participate in social transformation and grassroots efforts drive sustainable progress.
