TCI Cement (Trumboo Cement Industries Pvt. Ltd.) has extended financial assistance of ₹1 lakh to a meritorious student, Faizan Majeed Malik, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support his higher education.
Faizan secured an outstanding 488 out of 500 marks in the Class 10 examinations, achieving academic excellence despite facing severe financial hardships and living in a tin shed. Recognising his determination, perseverance and scholastic achievement, the company provided the financial assistance to help him pursue further studies.
Company officials said the initiative reflects TCI Cement’s commitment to promoting education and encouraging talented students from underprivileged backgrounds. They added that supporting deserving youth is an integral part of the company’s CSR philosophy.
The gesture has been widely appreciated by members of the local community, who described Faizan’s journey as an inspiration for other students facing similar challenges.
