IAS Officer Akshay Labroo Gets One-Year Extension on Inter-Cadre Deputation to J&K

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of inter-cadre deputation tenure of IAS officer Akshay Labroo for a further period of one year in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an official order, issued by the Government of India, Akshay Labroo, an IAS officer of the 2018 batch from the Tripura cadre, will continue on inter-cadre deputation to the AGMUT cadre for posting in Jammu and Kashmir beyond February 17, 2026.

The extension has been granted in relaxation of the existing deputation policy, following a proposal moved by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
