Light Snowfall Leads to Cancellation of Three Flights at Srinagar Airport

Three flights operating to and from Srinagar Airport were cancelled on Sunday due to a NOTAM in force at Delhi Airport, officials said.

According to a passenger advisory issued by airport authorities, the cancellations were not linked to local operational shutdown but were caused by restrictions imposed at Delhi Airport. Passengers scheduled to travel on the affected flights have been advised to check the latest flight status with their respective airlines before proceeding to the airport.

Meanwhile, light snowfall and rain were reported at Srinagar Airport during the day. Officials said minor snow accumulation was observed on the apron area, which is being continuously cleared by the concerned ground teams to ensure smooth aircraft movement.

Airport authorities said flight operations at Srinagar are currently underway, though some services may experience delays due to prevailing weather conditions. They said necessary measures are in place to maintain operational readiness amid the winter spell.

Passengers have been advised to remain in touch with their airlines for real time updates and to plan their travel accordingly. Authorities thanked passengers for their patience and cooperation during weather related disruptions. [KNT]
