Syeda-e-Kayinaat Hazrat Fatimah Zahra a Model for Ummah: Allama Hami

Supreme Chief of Karwan Islami International, Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, on Friday described Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (RA) as an unparalleled personality of the cosmos and a timeless model for the Muslim Ummah, urging people to follow her life and character to attain true faith and success in both worlds.

Addressing a gathering at Astana Aliya Reshmool Sahib in Anantnag, Allama Hami said the household of Prophet Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ remains the most exalted family in the universe, whose spiritual light will continue to guide humanity on the path of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem until the Day of Judgment.

Highlighting the virtues (fazail) and exemplary life of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (RA), he said her sacred biography and conduct provide invaluable guidance for the entire Ummah, particularly for women. “By following her noble example, believers can experience the true essence and sweetness of faith,” he said.

Allama Hami also raised concern over the misuse of charity during the holy month of Ramadan. He said professional beggars often exploit the generosity of people by posing as patients or representatives of fake organizations, thereby unlawfully collecting zakat and donations.

“This practice deprives genuinely deserving individuals and credible welfare institutions of their rightful share,” he said, urging the public to remain vigilant.

He appealed to people to channel their sadaqah and zakat only to truly needy and destitute individuals and to trustworthy religious and social organizations operating in accordance with Shariah.

Emphasising the responsibility of the affluent, Allama Hami said it is obligatory upon wealthy persons to actively seek out and support the poor and deserving. Proper and careful distribution of charity, he added, would uphold the true objectives of the Islamic system of social welfare while preserving the dignity of beneficiaries.
