Judicial Academy Holds ‘Yoga for Health’ Session in Jammu

The Jammu and Kashmir Judicial Academy on Friday organised a special session titled “Yoga for Health” for judicial officers and court staff of Jammu district in collaboration with the Isha Foundation.

The programme was conducted at the Conference Hall of Advocates Chambers, Jammu, under the patronage of Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Patron-in-Chief of the J&K Judicial Academy, and under the guidance of the Chairperson and Members of the Academy’s Governing Committee.

Director of the Judicial Academy, Naseer Ahmad Dar, inaugurated the session. In his address, he highlighted the importance of physical and mental well-being in the effective discharge of judicial responsibilities. He observed that the administration of justice requires sustained concentration, emotional balance and resilience, adding that structured wellness practices such as yoga can enhance professional efficiency and overall well-being.

The session focused on yoga as a holistic discipline aimed at harmonising body, mind and breath. Participants were encouraged to adopt simple and consistent wellness practices in their daily routines to improve clarity of thought, reduce stress and strengthen resilience.

The Judicial Academy expressed appreciation to the Isha Foundation for its collaboration and expert guidance in conducting the programme. The session witnessed active participation and was well received by attendees.

Reaffirming its commitment to promoting health and well-being within the judicial fraternity, the Academy said it would continue to organise similar initiatives in the future.
