Zabarwan Park Museum Reopens in Srinagar After Five Years

The Zabarwan Park Museum located on Boulevard Road in Srinagar reopened for tourists on Thursday after remaining closed for nearly five years, marking a step towards reviving tourism infrastructure in the Kashmir Valley.

The museum was formally reopened in the presence of Director Tourism Syed Qamar Sajad and other officials of the Tourism Department.

Speaking to local news agency, Sajad said that the revival and restoration of tourism assets remains a priority for the department to enhance visitor experience and further promote tourism in the region.

He said several artefacts housed in the museum require upgradation and maintenance, which will be carried out in the coming days ahead of the opening of the Tulip Garden.

Officials said the reopening of the museum comes at a time when the tourism season in Jammu and Kashmir is set to pick up with the onset of spring.

With the Tulip Garden expected to open soon and the Valley entering its peak tourist season, authorities anticipate a significant rise in tourist footfall as visitors arrive to experience the region’s natural beauty and cultural attractions.
