In a significant development, a one-day convention of the Gujjar Bakerwal Employees Association (GBEA) was successfully held in Shopian under the dynamic leadership of UT President Ch. Mohd Asad Nomani.
The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of employees from various departments, reflecting strong unity, enthusiasm, and commitment within the community.
The convention marked a historic milestone with the formal constitution of the District Shopian Unit of GBEA, achieved through unanimous consent.
This step is expected to strengthen the organizational framework and enhance representation of employees at the grassroots level.
During the session, participants deliberated on pressing issues and challenges faced by Gujjar and Bakerwal employees. Speakers emphasized the importance of unity, coordination, and collective action to safeguard employee rights and ensure welfare.
The gathering concluded with a pledge to work with dedication, strengthening the Association in a democratic and constructive manner.
