A group of enthusiastic students, accompanied by Ashraf Palpori, Social Activist, recently visited the Legislative Assembly Secretariat to observe the ongoing Budget Session 2026.
The visit was made possible through the generous support and kind gesture of Hon’ble Speaker, Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, Sh Manoj Kumar Pandit, Secretary of the Legislative Assembly, and AD Sh Subhash Chandar Ji.
During the visit, the students and Ashraf Palpori had the rare opportunity to witness the legislative proceedings, including budget discussions and parliamentary debates, gaining firsthand insights into the functioning of the Assembly.
We would like to inform you that the following teachers from PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Akhnoor, Jammu-II – Dr. Malik Maqbool, Mrs. Rajni, Mr. Simant Chotoray, and Mrs. Kulvinderjeet Kour, along with 40 students, attended the virtual ongoing Budget Session of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly today, 30th March 2026.
The officials emphasized the importance of exposing young minds to governance and democratic processes. The visit not only allowed students to understand policy-making and legislative protocols but also inspired them to take a more active interest in public affairs.
This initiative highlights a continued effort to bridge the gap between students and legislative institutions, fostering awareness, civic responsibility, and engagement among the youth.
