Weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain largely dry over the next few days, with only brief showers likely in isolated areas, particularly in higher reaches.
According to forecasts, April 5 and 6 will witness mostly dry conditions, though some places may experience light showers between the afternoon and evening hours.
A significant change is expected on April 7–8 as a Western Disturbance approaches the region. The system is likely to impact the Jammu region first, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall, especially in areas near the Pir Panjal Range.
The Kashmir Valley, however, is expected to see comparatively lesser impact, with light to moderate showers likely by evening or night on April 7.
Weather conditions are forecast to improve again from April 9, with mostly dry weather expected, although brief afternoon showers cannot be ruled out in higher altitudes. April 10 is likely to remain completely dry.
Authorities have advised residents and travelers to stay updated with weather conditions, particularly during the expected rainfall period in the Jammu region.
