Advisor Baseer Khan Visits Kupwara To Review COVID-19 Scenario

Kupwara, Jun 3: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan Thursday visited Kupwara to take stock of the ongoing COVID-19 mitigation measures in the frontier district.

During the visit, Khan, as per GNS, inspected a recently established COVID Care Centres at Panchayat level in Drugmulla order to assess the status of medical infrastructure and arrangements in the centre and directed the authorities concerned to ensure that all the necessary medicare facilities are provided to the people in a hassle free manner.

The Advisor, later, met various stakeholders comprising of PRIs, transporters, traders, religious heads among other prominent representatives of the society, to discuss various means and measures for effective Covid-control at grassroot level. On the occasion, the concerned stakeholders apprised the Advisor about the issues being faced by them during the ongoing pandemic. The Advisor gave a patient hearing and assured them to redress the genuine grievances in a time bound manner.

Baseer Khan lauded the cooperation of various stakeholders which made it possible to ease the restrictions and urged active participation of every citizen vital for the total eradication of the pandemic. He stressed upon them to motivate people to follow covid guidelines for the good of entire society.

The visiting dignitary also inaugurated an Agriculture Organic Mandi at Agricultural Office Complex in Kupwara and took stock of the stalls erected at the venue. (GNS)
