Junior Agriculture Extension Officers hail court verdict

Srinagar (PR): Jammu and Kashmir Federation of Agriculture Technocrats has hailed the decision of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu in its favour, terming the verdict as “based on truth”.
Addressing a press conference at the Directorate of Agriculture, Lalmandi, Srinagar, the leaders of the Federation led by Syed Tajamal Qaudri, Chairman and President Dr Syed Mubashir Qammar, Jammu and Kashmir Federation of Agriculture Technocrats said the court decision resolved the long-pending issue of the technocrats.
“The promotion list was ready way back in 2019 however due to some confusion in SROs at Adminstrative level as well as the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic it could not be passed, forcing the Federation to move to court of law,” the Federation spokesperson Dr Fayaz Ellahi told media persons.
Now that the court has announced the verdict in our favour after two years, it is a victory of law and justice, the spokesperson said while also expressing gratitude to the administration.
“The Principal Secretary APD Navin Kumar Chowdhary and Director Agriculture Kashmir Choudhary Mohammad Iqbal for listening the grievance of every senior and junior employee of the department,” he said. The department under the visionary and dynamic leadership principle secretary AP&FWD Mr Navin Kumar Chowdhary is touching new heights(amid covid pandemic challenges) in terms of diversification of agriculture and allied sectors, promotion and strengthening of entrepreneurship in agriculture, youth and women empowerment, socioeconomic transformation of farming community etc, he said and added.
Dr Fayaz however lamented over some elements who are making derogatory comments on social media over the tribunal’s decision saying this amounts to contempt of court.
The Federation leaders also stressed upon resolving the issues faced by various technocrats across Jammu and Kashmir.
