Demands Extension of Amnesty Scheme for pending VAT Arrears
Srinagar: On 8th June President Kashmir Trade Alliance, Aijaz Shahdhar met Commissioner State Taxes Department Showkat Aijaz and expressed dismay over the Government’s discriminatory approach towards business fraternity of J&K UT with regard to pending demands.
It was again brought into the notice of Commissioner State that the pandemic and subsequent lock down has put day to day business in grinding halt and small business are not able to make both ends meet. It was reiterated with strong demand that amnesty scheme already announced vide Govt Order No 39-FD of 2018 be extended up to ending March 2022 and GST council be enjoined upon to waive off late fee for all pending returns. This will boost morale of business fraternity in these hard times.
