All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Association elects new body

Mansoor Ahmad Khan new President, Ajaz Ahmad Baba as Vice President

Srinagar: All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Association held provincial level elections of Kashmir Division and elects new body here at Srinagar.
The election was held through secret ballot. All the District Presidents/Central Executive Members participated in the election process. After the successful conduct of elections the following office bearers were elected Mansoor Ahmad Khan – President, Ajaz Ahmad Baba – Vice President (M), Dr. Mir Nazim Hussain –General Secretary , Zaffar Mushtaq- Secretary, Irshad Ahmad Bhat- Chief Coordinator, Zahoor Ahmad Nengroo – Chief Organizer.
The following members were nominated for different positions in accordance with the constitutional provisions of the Association. Manzoor Ahmad Shah- Chief Patron, Nayeem Ahmad Parrey- Chairman, Tehseena Maqbool -Vice President (F), Dr. Arshad Ahmad Salroo- Chief Advisor, Mubarak Ahmad Naik – Dy. Chief Advisor, Khursheed Ahmad Rather – Legal Advisor, Shabir Ahmad Shabir, Mohsin Nazir, Jalaludin – Organizers, Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Mir/Mr. Pervaiz Hussain Bhat, John Mohamad Bhat, Showkat Hussain Teli and Shabeela Aziz-Advisors, Mohamad Shafi Mir-Treasurer-, Syed Isthtiyaq- Treasurer-2, Basharat Saleem – Publicity Secretary, Khursheed Alam- Chief Spokesperson, Irfan Ahmad Ilai/ Hafizullah Qurieshi- Coordinators , Shahnawaz Ahmad Malik – Information Officer Pertinently the district level elections were completed in the month of April 2021 and a detailed notification was issued on 05/04/2021 through print media while the provincial level elections were deferred due to imposition of lockdown amidst covid 19 pandemic.
All the election related exercises of Election Commission and other allied document work was well coordinated by Election Cell headed by Syed Ishtiyaq. After the culmination of successful elections and formation of provincial body, the apex leadership thanked Manzoor Ahmad Shah CEC, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Election Commissioner/former Dy. CEO Kulgam, Nazir Ahmad Dar Principal Sainik Mansbal, Mtr. Anjum Raja, Dy. CEO Srinagar, Mr. Mohammad Rafiq Rather President EJAC, all HOI’s who provided logistic and moral support during district/provincial level elections, Election Cell, media fraternity and +2 lecturer fraternity who reposed faith in the newly elected district/provincial bodies. It was resolved that every effort will be made in the direction to uplift the educational scenario in the UT and simultaneously service related issues confronting the +2 lecturer fraternity would be vociferously taken with appropriate authorities for their redressal as was done by the Association in past. The President Mr. Mansoor Ahmad made a fervent appeal to UT administration to take adequate measures for early opening of schools in the larger interest of the student community.
The elections were held under the supervision of Election Commission headed by Manzoor Ahmad Shah former principal & Chief Election Commissioner, Bashir Ahmd Bhat former Dy. Chief Education Officer Kulgam, Nazir Ahmad Dar Principal Sainik School Mansbal, Returning officer Anjum Raja Principal & Dy. Chief Education Officer Srinagar. Besides, Faisal Nayeem and Tahirul Hamid Wani acted as election observers. Mohammad Rafiq Rather, President EJAC was Chief Guest on the occasion.
