Plus Two Lectures Association pitches for re-opening of schools at +2 level

Srinagar: Plus Two Lectures Association has urged State Administration to explore ways of opening schools at +2 level so that teachers are able to complete the remaining syllabus and students are helped to prepare for ensuing Annual Regular board examinations.
According to a press release issued by the Association said, the meeting was presided by newly elected President Mansoor Ahmad Khan with an introductory session by all newly elected office bearers and district presidents from all the districts of Kashmir division.
The Association thanks State Executive Committee of Disaster Management Department for its fresh directive about phased re-opening of institutions where 100% of staff and students have been achieved.
Subsequent to successful completion of district/provincial level elections recently, the newly constituted Central Executive Committee (Provincial Body Kashmir) of the Association held it maiden meeting today on Sunday here at Srinagar.
The members had a threadbare deliberation on various issues confronting the +2 lecturer community and members put forward their suggestions to frame a gist of issues confronting the community. The members resolved to strongly take up burning issues with appropriate authorities viz. grant of ACP in favour of +2 lecturers and LG Manoj Sinha has already assured to look into the matter, release of Senior lecturer list against left out and newly available vacancies(more that 1000 slots are presently available), restoration of 40% quota in higher education, repatriation of lecturers working in Ladakh UT, higher start up for lecturers with Ph. D & M. Phil, tenure based rotation of deputed staff at Directorate offices, JK Board of School Education, JKSCERT and it was also pledged that mission of the Association will be taken to logical conclusion. All the participating members unanimously resolved to support every effort of the authorities for the raising the standards of education in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
