Renowned Social Political Activist Sardar Tajinder Singh put his concern over the Hike in Water Tariff by the administration of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
Tajinder said jammu and kashmir has huge potential of water resources and NHPC is making fortune out of energy generated from jammu and kashmir water resources, but the inhabitants shall pay through nose for every drop of water they drink or use in daily life.
“While there was demand of 65million gallon water per day in Jammu urban and supply was total 50 million gallons”,as the water scarcity is routine feature in Jammu and Kashmir espically in Jammu particularly in summer season and instead to ensure smooth and proper supply of water administration is hikeing the tariff which will put more burden on the pocket of comman man in Jammu and Kashmir UT.Tajinder add.
