Police facilitates PCPG meeting in Budgam

December 01: As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was facilitated by Police in Budgam. The meeting was held at Police Station Khag while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem Khan-JKPS accompanied by SDPO Magam and SHO Police Station Khag. The meeting was attended by large number of respectables of Khag and its adjoining areas.

During the meeting, participants raised various issues of public importance including electricity, road connectivity, water supply, drug menace, etc. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. During the meeting, stress was laid on the adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour and adoption of preventive measures to contain spread of Covid-19. Owing to the impending 3rd wave of Covid-19, the charring officer requested participants to follow the guidelines/SOPs issued by the Government from time to time and spread awareness among the people regarding containment of Covid-19.

The participants were also made aware about the exploitation of young boys for anti-national activities over social media and advised them about the necessity to keep a check-on online behaviour of their wards. The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police and Administration in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
