Imran Ansari Reviews Development works in Baramulla

Baramulla: Minister for Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today chaired a meeting to review the progress of development works undertaken in the district and  implementation of decisions taken in the District Development Board meeting and sector-wise physical and financial achievements registered in the district under the plan.
At the outset, District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash, presented a report with regard to the implementation of the decisions taken in DDB meeting by the concerned departments.
The meeting was attended by SSP Baramulla, Mir Imtiyaz Hussain, JD Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ACD, SEs, Exens, CMO, SDM Pattan, ARTO Baramulla, Tehsildars, and other district and sectoral heads.
The meeting was informed that against the allocation of approved Capex budget of Rs. 25435.66 lacs for 2017-18, and release of Rs. 4052.23 Lacs and  Rs 2477.976 has been spent so far on various development programs till end of July 2017.
The Minister directed rural development department to verify with technical inputs the quality of works executed in the district and redlist contractors employing sub-standard material, which in long run harms both economy and welfare governance.
It was made out that against the released funds under NRLM, PMAY, MGRNEGA , the district has recorded almost 85-90 percent expenditure, respectively.
It was futher informed that blacktopping of roads is in progress and will be completed in the allocated time period.
“Our government is committed to fullfill every genuine aspiration of the people and lackadiasical approach on part of the administration will not be tolerated. We need to coordinate and cooperate with each other to accelerate the pace of works for on time completion for the convenience of common people,” said Ansari.
The Minister directed the Health department to rationalise staff and facilitate availability of doctors at all hospitals and health centres of the district.
He also directed Sports authorities to ensure proper facilities in all indoor stadiums for hassle free training of sportspersons.
The Minister directed the officials of PHE department to coordinate with the fisheries department to sort out illegal use of bleaching powder by some miscreants causing harm to fish culture and thereby economy of the department and district in the long run, besides disturbing ecological equilibrium of aquatic flora and fauna.
