Valedictory function of skill courses held at KVK/ETC Pulwama
KVK/ETC Malangpora Pulwama in collaboration with 33 Bn BSF today concluded two skill based courses on ‘Data entry operator course’ and “Public relations manager course”.
Each course was of 60 days duration. 30 students from surrounding villages of Malangpora participated in these programmes.
The aim of these courses was to impart required skill to the rural youth in basic computer, entering, compiling, sorting and verifying data, digital marketing, branding, and other related contents.
On the occasion Mr. Ashok Yadav, IG, BSF was the chief guest and Prof. D.M. Makhdoomi, Director Extension SKUAST-K was guest of honour.
Other dignitaries present were Mr. S.S. Chandel, DIG BSF, Prof. Javeed A Mugloo, Head KVK/ETC Pulwama, Mr. Ashwani Mittal, Commandant 33 Bn BSF, Scientists of KVK and other officers from BSF.
The programme was also attended by the parents of the participants who had appreciated these joint efforts of KVK/ETC Malangpora and BSF.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Ashok Yadav, IG, BSF, congratulated the participants for successfully completing the courses.
He also hoped that such types of skill courses would go a long way in honing their entrepreneurial skills in any field they would choose.
He also praised the KVK Pulwama for being at the forefront and being pro actively involved in all these need based youth centric programmes. Prof. D.M. Makhdoomi, Director Extension SKUAST-K highlighted the initiatives SKUAST-K has taken in uplifting the morale of unemployed rural youth by making them employment generators rather than employment seekers. Certificates were distributed among all participants who had participated in these two programmes.
