RLD to Capture Farmers’ Vote in J&K, Says Vinay Pradhan

Vinay Pradhan, the in-charge of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasized the party's commitment to addressing the concerns of farmers during a recent press briefing.

He highlighted that RLD candidates will focus on key issues such as agricultural welfare and the development of horticulture.

Pradhan pointed out that farmers in Kashmir are not receiving fair returns for their produce, particularly apples, saffron, and rice. He noted that while Kashmir supplies 75% of the country's apple demand, local farmers face increasing competition from imported apples from Turkey and Italy. He called for enhanced support for small farmers to help them navigate these challenges.

In addition, Pradhan advocated for the establishment of small industries in rural areas to bolster the local economy.

He urged party workers, senior officials, and key representatives to engage with as many people as possible, spreading the party's agenda and seeking votes and support for RLD candidates in the upcoming elections.
