Srinagar, Sept 16 :Taking cognisance of a video that shows soldiers dishonouring the bodies of two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants killed in an encounter on the city outskirts, the Army today said that appropriate action will be taken against the troopers.
LeT chief Abu Ismail and his associate Abu Qasim, both residents of Pakistan, were killed in a brief encounter with security forces on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday last.
“Army has taken cognisance of the video and appropriate action will be taken against the soldiers,” Defence Ministry spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said.
