MLA Farooq Shah Focuses on Strengthening Healthcare in Gulmarg Constituency

MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah of Gulmarg today took significant steps towards improving healthcare services in his constituency, underscoring his ongoing commitment to public welfare and community well-being.

In a key initiative to enhance healthcare infrastructure, MLA Shah chaired a review meeting at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg, where he inaugurated a much-anticipated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The new facility will provide specialized care for newborns, a critical addition to the region’s healthcare services. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Baramulla and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Tangmarg were present at the meeting, where several important decisions were made, including the upgradation of the Outpatient Department (OPD), improvements in heating facilities for the Labour Room, Operation Theatre, and In-Patient Department, as well as a renewed focus on maintaining proper sanitation in the hospital, particularly in the canteen area.

During his visit, MLA Shah also inspected the long-abandoned Chandil-Wanigam Hospital building, which, under his leadership, is now undergoing extensive renovation. The refurbished facility is expected to provide essential medical services to the local population, addressing healthcare gaps in the surrounding areas.

Later in the day, the MLA visited the villages of Ferozepora, Qazipora, Mulbangil, and Chuker. He personally met with families who had recently lost loved ones, offering his condolences and extending his heartfelt sympathies. Shah prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and assured the grieving families of his continued support during these challenging times.

Through these efforts, Farooq Ahmad Shah remains steadfast in his mission to enhance healthcare accessibility, infrastructure, and compassionate governance in the Gulmarg constituency. His work reflects a deep commitment to improving the standard of living for his constituents and ensuring that essential services are within reach for all.
