Dr. Singh, who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, was known for his unwavering commitment to secular values, even in the face of challenging political landscapes. His calm demeanor and patient approach to governance earned him respect across the political spectrum. Wani emphasized that Dr. Singh’s legacy was particularly significant for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, where his leadership offered hope and stability.

"His ability to empathize with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and his willingness to engage in dialogue with various factions, made him a trusted leader in the region. He was a calming presence at a time when the state needed peace the most," Wani remarked.

In a period marked by increasing polarization, Dr. Singh’s vision of a secular and united India stood as a beacon of hope.
