Kadapa, Sept 20: One student killed and 10 others were injured when a school bus collided head-on with a van at Mirjakhan Palle village in Muvvuru mandal of the district today.
Police said that the school bus, belonged to Guru Shankaracharya high school, was taking as many as 15 students from surrounding rural areas to school. The bus collided with a van, belonged to a private courier company, killing Navineswara Reddy alias Navin (5), a first standard student, on the spot. Ten other students were injured in the accident.
The injured students were admitted to the government hospital in Proddatur, where the condition of a girl student was said to be serious. (UNI)
