Ram Madhav to meet BJP MLAs, party leaders in JK on his 2-day visit Cabinet reshuffle likely on cards
Srinagar: BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav is visiting the state from tomorrow for two days (Thursday and Friday) to review the performance of party ministers, following complaints by BJP workers against its legislators and ministers before the Home Minister Rajnath Singh last week.
The visit assumes significance also after the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) called a strike on Monday against “non-performance” of BJP ministers and “sheer discrimination” against the region.
Madhav is visiting Kashmir on Thursday and will visit Jammu on Friday, BJP State General Secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul told KNS.
“He (Ram Madhav) is meeting with party leaders and activists in Kashmir on Thursday and in Jammu on Friday,” Koul told KNS.
Koul did not reveal whether Madhav is meeting Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti during his visit and dispelled the speculations about any reshuffle of BJP ministers.
“These are all rumours,” he replied to a question about reshuffle of BJP ministers.
Before Madhav, another general secretary, Ram Lal also visited the state after Rajnath’s visit to look into the complaints by party workers and people in Jammu region. (KNS)
