The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a spell of light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places across Jammu and Kashmir today. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are expected during late afternoon and evening hours.
From June 4 to 11, the weather is likely to remain mostly dry, with only brief, isolated showers possible in the late afternoon of June 4–5. A fresh spell of rain and thundershowers is anticipated between June 12 and 14.
The Met Centre has also issued an advisory, warning of:
Possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds today evening
Potential for localized flash floods due to intense showers in some areas
Public urged to stay clear of loose structures, electric poles, cables, and old trees
Residents are advised to remain cautious and follow updates from local authorities.
