Elevated Spiritual Values Essential for a Bright Future of Human Society: Allama Hami

The progress and development of human society have always been rooted in the evolution of humanity itself.

Throughout history, this development has been assessed through multiple lenses with spiritual values consistently placed at the top, even as material dimensions remained significant.

Highlighting the importance of spirituality in contemporary times, Chief Karwani Islami International, Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, said that modern nations that possess awareness and capability invest heavily not only in material growth but equally in moral and spiritual upliftment. “It is now an established reality that the elevation of spiritual values is vital for ensuring a bright and sustainable future for any society,” he said.

Allama Hami was addressing a massive gathering during the Friday sermon at Central Jamia Masjid Ayesha (RA), Guzarbal Noorbagh, where he drew attention to the urgent need for restoring moral and spiritual foundations within society. According to local sources, during his special address, Allama Hami urged people to strengthen ethical and spiritual values, stressing the importance of steering clear of the various immoral, harmful, and anti-human trends and influences rapidly spreading in the modern age.

Speaking directly to the youth, Dr. Hami described them as the most valuable asset of any nation, adding that their proper guidance must never be overlooked. Calling drug abuse the biggest challenge facing the Kashmiri society and policymakers today, he said, “The welfare of our nation is directly linked to the real progress and improvement of our youth. Saving them from drugs and related immoral tendencies is our foremost responsibility.” He emphasized that every individual has a duty to contribute to social development and must make dedicated efforts to fulfil this obligation.

He further stressed the urgent need to promote awareness among young people regarding spiritual growth, cultural identity, and traditional knowledge. This, he said, must be supported through institutions and well-designed policies so that society does not fall prey to materialism but moves towards a balanced, ethical, and value based way of life. Inspired by Allama Hami’s address, hundreds of youth from the locality pledged to actively participate in anti-drug campaigns and initiatives, vowing to fulfil their moral and humanitarian responsibilities.
