‘LG Sinha’s Drug-Free Campaign a Positive Step for Society’: Hami

Chairman of Karwani Islami International, Allama Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, on Friday emphasized the importance of adhering to the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad while addressing a large gathering at the Central Jamia Masjid Nunar in Budgam.

He said that despite changing times, the Quran and Sunnah remain the ultimate source of guidance, and highlighted the role of saints and Sufi scholars in preserving true Islamic teachings, particularly in Kashmir. He also condemned misinformation about spiritual figures circulating on social media, urging people to study their lives and teachings sincerely.

Speaking on social issues, Hami welcomed the administration’s anti-drug initiatives, including the Drug-Free Campaign led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, calling it a positive step toward building a healthy society. He stressed that drug abuse and trafficking reflect broader societal decline and called for their complete eradication through moral and spiritual awareness.
