Train services resume in valley
Srinagar, Sept 26 : Train services resumed in the Kashmir valley today after daylong suspension due to security reasons following strike called by traders and transporters and supported by separatists in protest against summoning more people by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with funding row.
‘We have resumed all train runs in the Kashmir valley today,’ a senior railway official said.
He said a fresh advisory was received last night from the civil administration and police to resume the train service in the valley, where no train operated for a day on Monday.
Therefore, he said, train run resumed this morning between Srinagar-Budgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north.
Similarly, train service has been resumed on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.(UNI)
