Chief of Karwani Islami International, Allama Dr. Shaykh Ghulam Rasool Hami, addressed a grand public gathering in Bhalesa, Doda, stressing human values, moral education and collective action against drug abuse as the true foundation of societal progress.
Invoking the centuries-long legacy of saints and Sufis in the Doda region, Allama Hami said the spiritual heritage of the area had built an enduring culture of brotherhood, tolerance and humanity. He said sustainable development could not be achieved through material education alone and that moral and spiritual training was equally essential.
On drugs, he said addiction destroys not just individuals but entire families and future generations, and called on mosque imams, teachers, parents and social workers to transform the anti-drug movement into a people's campaign at the grassroots level. He added that drug eradication has been among the founding objectives of Karwani Islami International since its inception.
