Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to Remain Closed at Night on June 12, 14 and 16

Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) will be suspended during night hours on June 12, 14 and 16 to facilitate bituminous relaying works by NHAI, including at the Nachlana stretch in Ramban district.

As per the order by the District Magistrate, Ramban, traffic between Nashri and the Navyug Tunnel will remain suspended from 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs on the intervening nights of June 12/13, 14/15 and 16/17.

No vehicles will be allowed to move after 1700 hrs from Udhampur towards Ramban, Banihal and Srinagar, and after 2000 hrs from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur and Jammu. Operators carrying perishable goods and livestock have been advised to plan accordingly.

Travellers are advised to contact Traffic Control Units in Jammu, Srinagar, Ramban or Udhampur before starting their journey on June 13, 15 and 17.
