A driver was killed and two students injured after a school bus met with an accident in the Chadoora area of Budgam district on Friday.
Officials said the bus, belonging to IPTS School Khansahib, lost control and plunged into a deep gorge in the Neegu Jabbad area of Brenwar, Chadoora. The driver died on the spot due to the impact, while the two injured students were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Chadoora for treatment.
Local residents, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased. Further investigation is underway.
