Security forces launches search operation in Bandipora

Srinagar, Sept 28 : Security forces have been launched a fresh search operation on Thursday morning in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, where a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed and four of his relatives injured in a militant attack.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has strongly condemned the killing of BSF jawan, who was posted in Rajasthan and had come for vacation.
Official sources said that Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation early morning on Thursday in more villages in Hajin area of Bandipora district.
All exit points were sealed and search operation was going on when the reports last came in, they said adding so far no contact was established with militants.
They said security forces launched the search operation to nab the militants responsible for the killing of BSF jawan Rameez Ahmad Parray. (UNI)
