Residents of Iqbal colony Pattan holds protest, blocks National Highway

 

Families shifted to Hr. Sec School Pattan

Srinagar:  Today morning residents of Iqbal colony Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district  blocked Srinagar-Baramulla highway for about one hour raising slogans against government and district administration for not helping them as they suffer due to landslides in area.

After Assurance to take the matter to higher ups by SHO Pattan Protesters ends protest peacefully.

Meanwhile talking to Shabrooz Malik Tehasildar Pattan Syed Faheem said that  the whole habitation of 25 families was under heavy apprehension and to not take venture the families were shifted to Higher Secondary School Pattan

Whereas the families with damaged houses where shifted to curb any untoward of human lives

The habitation is on hilly area and due to the continuous rainfall during last few day the landslides damaged about 25 families of the habitation

The affected families were fed with the basic necessities like rice, blankets and other items; he added
