Life remains crippled in parts of south Kashmir’s Pulwama
Srinagar, Nov 4 : Normal life remained crippled for the second successive day on Saturday in some areas in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where a militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and two Army soldiers were killed in an encounter on Thursday night.
Even though there was no shutdown call given by any organisation, shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in main Pulwama town and adjoining areas against the killing of the militant.
But, some private vehicles were plying on some routes.
On Friday, massive clashes were reported from many areas in Pulwama after people hit the streets to protest against the militant killing.
Train service has also been resumed on Saturday after remaining suspended for security reasons on Friday in south Kashmir.
