Hassan, Nov 22: An alert Bus driver saved lives of 30 passengers as the private bus caught fire at Kenchanahalli village on National Highway 75 near here Hassan in the wee hours of today.
Police said that all the passengers of the sleeper coach of Bangalore bound bus from Mangalore escaped without injuries due to the alertness of the driver. The bus however was completely charred in the accidental fire.
The driver, who noticed the flames, immediately stopped the bus and asked passengers to alight.Hassan Rural Police visited the spot.
