Congress MPs stick to demand for PM’s apology for remarks on Manmohan

New Delhi, Dec 22 :  The controversial remarks from Prime Minister Narendra Modi about his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh during election campaign in Gujarat continue to figure prominently in the Lok Sabha on Friday with the Congress members sticking to their demand for an apology from Mr Modi.

As soon as the House assembled to begin day’s business, several Congress members were up on their feet while floor leader Mallikarjun Kharge was seen seeking Speaker Sumitra Mahajan’s permission to make his point on the issue.

The Speaker disallowed taking up the issue and called out members name to commence with the Question Hour.(UNI)
