Oppn members stage walkout from J&K LA over alleged thrashing of Kashmiri students
Jammu, Feb 8 : Entire opposition on Thursday staged walkout of the Legislative Assembly over an alleged thrashing of Kashmiri students in neighbouring Haryana.
As soon as the House assembled for day proceedings, opposition MLA from National Conference Ali Mohammed Sagar raised the issue and said that another Kashmiri student have been thrashed by some miscreants in Haryana on Wednesday.
However, other members from the National Conference, Congress and CPI (M) created ruckus in the House asserting that it was unfortunate that Kashmiri students are being thrashed in other parts of the state.
The NC MLA also alleged that the residents of Jammu and Kashmir are being seen with hatred outside and the government must ensure their security.
Replying on behalf of the Government, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri informed the House that the issue is under due consideration of the government and all measures would be taken to ensure security of the people of the state in other parts of the country.(UNI)
