Ready to meet any militant challenge in JK: DG CRPF
Srinagar: Lauding the security forces for conducting successful operation during which large number of militants, including some top self styled commanders of different organisations, were eliminated Director General (DG) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) R R Bhatnagar on Thursday said that close coordination among the security agencies has helped to achieve the good results in Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhatnagar was speaking after presenting awards to a jawan who recently foiled a fidayeen attack on a CRPF battalion headquarter in Srinagar.
He also awarded the CRPF personnel who foiled another fidayeen attack on their camp at Hajan in Bandipora district of north Kashmir last year.
He said because of close coordination among the Army, CRPF and police, a large number of militants were killed in the valley this year.
These militants included some top commanders of different organisations, he added.
