BHADERWAH: In the absence of any proper law governing conduct of private colleges , they are running their operations freely without any accountability. Over the last few years Bhaderwah has been seeing a boom in unregistered private institutions . Sensing an opportunity to earn hard cash, every Tom, Dick and Harry has joined the bandwagon. Most of the owners don’t even know how to counsel a student, let alone help him or her decide a future better for themselves as well as for the society. Their only criterion is money and wherever they get extra commission, they will encourage students to take up that course and join the institution. Much like drug mafia pushing fake drugs into markets , these consultants are pushing fake institutions . Fake drugs will have short term effect on us but fake institutions will have serious consequences for our society in the long run. Sources informed that a man assured students of Bhaderwah and other areas of Doda district that he got permission from state Medical Council for opening up of nursing college in Bhaderwah and cheated a number of students by collecting fees from them . But in reality, the institute is illegal and not affiliated to any of the university till date and state government till date not allowed any one for opening of college in Bhadewrah .The owner of the so called nursing college used to charge from students Rs 2,000 as admission free last year but till date college is closed . Many aspirants also informed this media person in the condition of anonymity that they submiited admission fee last year in the moth of November but till date no class work started and the owner of the college is also not picking the phone nor returning the fee and demanded registration of FIR against him .
