Delhi Half Marathon raises Rs 8.10 Crore through charity
New Delhi, Feb 21 : The 10th edition of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM) has shattered all previous records after raising Rs 8.10 crore for the 2017 edition through charity, a 23 per cent increase compare to 2016.
Since its inception, through the platform of ADHM, a total of Rs 47.56 crore has been raised by over 200 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), organisers of the marathon announced here on Tuesday night.
Of the total amount, 46 per cent fund has been raised towards Education and 17 per cent for children. Notably, 62 Companies had fielded 90 teams raising more than Rs 2.93 crore while the Lotus Petal Foundation emerged as the highest fund raising CSO with Rs 2.01 crore.
Speaking on the development, India Cares Foundation’s Chairperson and Founder, Murray Culshaw said,”We very sincerely thank the people of Delhi & the NCR region, in fact, numerous people from different parts of the world, for the increasing encouragement and support provided to the social sector through this wonderful platform – the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon.”
