Srinagar: A reputed businessman, Nirbhay Trehan who is hailing from state of Jammu and Kashmir has alleged that his life is under threat from F. A Khan who retired as General Manager, Food Corporation of India.
According to Nirbay, F. A Khan approached him to start a business venture for establishing godowns for the Food Corporation of India as he would influence his approach to get tenders and running smooth projects for FCI.
Nirbay said that he has conceived a business plan for construction of godowns for the Food Corporation of India and to generate a employment avenue for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir with the aim to boost the economic conditions of the state.
Working on his project, Nirbay under his firm M/S Kash Ind Agro Infra Services made 8 godowns of capacity 35,000 metric tons for storage of food grains. The firm also purchased 150 kanals of land at Sangrama in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district at the rate of rupees 4 lakh per kanal to rupees 6.50 lakh simultaneously.
The transactions for the land purchase was done through Mr. Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani son of Sonaulla Wani who was introduced by Mr. F.A Khan as a competent contractor and property dealer from the area.
During the construction of the said project, Nirbay has employed the local contractors who are the associates of Mr. Wani for the construction of godowns . But the contractors left their work halfway inspite of the fact that Nirhay paid full amount to them. When the firm head Nirbay approached them to know the reasons why they have stopped the work on godowns, they have allegedly threatened the him of dire consequences. Later the land owners have also demanded three time hike of rate agreed for land. Fearing of loss, Nirbay paid three times high rate for the rate which he has purchased through Wani.
Mr. Wani and his associates put hindrances at times and also threatened Nirbay if they did not accede to their demands for extra money.
Thereafter, Muiz Khan, the son of F.A Khan instituted a case against Nirbay and his son and was threatening him regularly for which Nirbay has logged a FIR against them U/S 271 of 2016, 341, 506 of RPC.
Nirbay has approached Divisional administration and police time to time for seeking help and have also informed the higher ups regarding the life threat by these alleged goons.
Under the court orders, FIR was lodged at police station Tarzoo, inspite of FIR bno action was taken against the local contractors. Nirbay is being harassed by these contractors and are outing hindrances in functioning of these godowns which are on lease with the Food Corporation of India (FCI).
Due to imminent threat from these, I am requesting the authorities to provide security cover ton godowns and to myself.
