Clashes in Pulwama against detention of students

PULWAMA: Massive clashes broke out between students and forces in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, on Monday.

Reports said that police used teargas shells to disperse the protesting students of Government Degree College and Mehjoor Memorial Higher Secondary school (MMHSS) in the town.

The students were protesting outside police station Pulwama, to demand the release of their peers.

The students threatened to boycott the class work till their peers are not released.

Meanwhile, protests spread in the whole town and shopkeepers lowered their shutters.
