G A Mir concerned over assault on Kashmiri people
Srinagar May 12 : The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir today strongly condemned the assault on some Kashmiris in Southeast Delhi by a group of 40 to 50 people, as reported and urged upon Govt of India to take serious note of the matter.
In a statement issued to KPS, Mir also urged upon Union Home Minister Raj Nath Singh to ensure strict action by Delhi police against the attackers.
He described the incident as highly condemnable and cautioned that such actions would lead to further alienation of the Kashmir people and urged that those responsible must be identified and punished.
The assault will certain be another big source of alienation among the people and emphasized that GOI must ensure safety of Kashmir people in any part of the country, he added.
He urged upon the State Govt also to take up the matter with Union Home Minister to ensure safety of people, besides strict action against the persons responsible for the assault.
