Srinagar: Five persons were killed and eight injured in a road accident on the Jammu-Pathankot highway, police said on Friday.
According to a police statement a vehicle travelling from Jammu to Punjab went out of the driver’s control and hit the road parapet during the early hours at Tapyal killing five and injuring eight.
Those who were killed in the accident have been identified as the driver Labpreet Singh (30), Punnu (30), Veena, Geeta Devi (60) and a year-old kid.
