People enjoy pleasant Sunday in Kashmir

 

Weather likely to remain dry

Srinagar: People are enjoying a pleasant Sunday today due to bright sunshine in Kashmir, where the night temperature also witnessed some improvement at majority of the places though it was still below normal.

However, border town of Kargil, which was the coldest place in the region, froze at minus 9 degree, followed by Leh, where mercury settled at minus 5.2 degree.

A Met department spokesperson said weather will remain generally dry during the next 24 hours in the state. But, he said a fresh Western Disturbance (WD), which originated from Arabian sea, and is entering the region though Afghanistan and Pakistan, will hit the region tomorrow, resulting in wet weather for the subsequent five days.
