Dr Farooq interacts with Blood Donors from various parts of country
Srinagar, May 28 : On Monday Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Member of Parliament interacted with the volunteers who had come from various parts of the country to donate blood exclusively in Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadhan. The event was organized by Rakatache Nate Charitable Trust, Fateh Blood Seva Punjab in collaboration with Child Right educational Society Budgam. The initiative was supported by The Inner Call Forum for Evolution, Development, and Awareness.
The volunteers donated around 38 points at ASYM hospital Budgam yesterday. The donors had come from Maharashtra, Punjab and New Delhi. Local people also participated in the blood donation drive with full zeal and zest.
The initiative was taken to convey across the message of brotherhood, peace and unity with Kashmiris. It was observed that the number of donations in Kashmir are not adequate in the month of Ramadhan, people are fasting and hence donations are less. So a group of few organisations organised the noble event to extent a helping hand to their brothers and sisters in Kashmir.
Dr Abdullah appreciated the noble cause and extended thanks to all the people who were a part of the initiative. On this occasion the additional gen secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and party leader Mushtaq Ahmad Goru were also present. Dr Kamal also addressed the blood donator volunteers.
