President Kovind to lay foundation stone of Matabari Temple Complex Development Project
Udaipur, June 7 : The President of India Ram Nath Kovind to lay foundation stone of Matabari Temple Complex Development Project today.
As per reports, the President, along with his wife may arrive in Udaipur at 11 am sharp, and will worship goddess Tripureswari.
T.K Debnath, DM & Collector of Gomati District said, “The preparation is in the last stage on the eve of President of India Ram Nath Kovind’s visit. A number of programmes are being organised by the district administration related to the visit.”The President will also lay the foundation stone of Matabari Temple Complex Development Project in the presence of Tathagata Roy, Governor of Tripura and Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Minister of Tripura, tomorrow, an Gomati district administrative officer has informed.
The district administration has informed that the President of India is likely to launch a website of Matabari Temple & Online donation system.
The district administration of Gomati district said that President Kovind would also dedicate to the nation, the NH8, stretching from Matabari to Sabroom.
The security arrangement at the Tripureswari Temple in Udaipur is all set following the President’s visit in Udaipur and the security persons have been already deployed in different places in view of the President’s visit.
A committee has formed to look after the management of Shri Shri Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, Udaipur under Gomati Diustrict. The Chairman of this committee has decided the CM of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb and Secretary of this Committee DM & Collector of Gomati District.
The eight members of this committee are: Minister for Revenue Department, Minister for Tourism, MLA of Matabari Constituency, Chief Secretary of Tripura Government, Principal Secretary for Revenue Department, Secretary of Tourisam Department, District Forest Officers of Gomati District and Priest of Matabari.
It is informed by the MLA of Matabri Constituency Biplab Ghosh that the government of Tripura will invite the engineers of others state to construct design of Matabari. After the finalisation of design, the work will start at Tripureswari Temple.
Tripura Sundari Temple is situated in the ancient Udaipur, Tripura. It was constructed by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya in 1501A.D, there are two identical images of the same deity inside the temple. They are known as Tripura Sundari (5 feet high) and Chhotima (2 feet high) in Tripura.
The idol of Kali is worshiped at the temple of Tripura Sundari in the form of ‘Soroshi’. One is made of kasti stone which is reddish black in colour. It is believed that the idol was Chhotima was carried by king in battlefield. This temple is also known as Kurma Pitha because it the temple premises
On behalf of state official source it is informed that a project of Rs 34 crore has to be submitted to the Central government for Matabari development. The state government is trying level best to develop Tripureswari Temple as best tourism sector in India.
