IAF pilot ejects safely in Jamnagar after jet develops snag
New Delhi/Jamnagar, Jun 8 : An Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot safely ejected on Friday after the fighter jet Jaguar developed technical snag while landing at Jamnagar air base in Gujarat.
The pilot was on a routine training mission.
“Today morning, around 0920h, pilot of a Jaguar aircraft on a routine training mission from Jamnagar, safely ejected when the aircraft developed a snag during the landing phase,” an IAF official said.
A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered to investigate the cause of snag.
On Tuesday, Air Commodore Sanjai Chauhan died after his aircraft Jaguar crashed in Kutch area. He was also on a routine training mission.
